3FT/1M USB TO RS232 SERIAL ADAPTER CABLE
StarTech.com 3ft (1m) USB to Serial Adapter Cable, COM Retention, FTDI IC, DB9 RS232, Interchangeable DB9 Screws/Nuts, Windows/macOS/Linux - Add a DB9 RS-232 serial port to a desktop/laptop using a USB-A port; Interchangeable Screws/Nuts; DB9 screws pre-installed; DB9 Nuts included for device/cable compatibility; Rugged TPE housing; Copper shielding; LED Indicators; Windows/macOS/Linux
Data transmission and reception LED indicators on the adapter provide real-time monitoring of port activity. The USB LED indicates when the adapter has successfully enumerated on the desktop or laptop. All the LEDs aid with diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Seamless Connectivity
The adapter is compatible with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux. Drivers automatically install to Windows 7 and newer versions and macOS 10.15 and above. The USB to RS-232 adapter features COM retention, which automatically reassigns the COM port value if the cable is disconnected and reconnected, or if the system is rebooted.

The rugged TPE construction and Level-4 ESD protection (15kV air and 8kV contact) enhance the reliability and longevity of the USB to Serial Adapter. Copper shielding minimizes Electromagnetic and Radio Frequency Interference (EMI and RFI). Gold-plated connectors enhance signal conductivity.
